Many of today’s films were inspired from literature, but how often do the screenwriters and studios stay faithful to the original work? If you enjoy reading and watching movies, this club is for you! Once a month, we’ll meet to watch a movie together and then discuss the transition and interpretation of literature on the silver screen.
About a month before each meeting, we’ll have multiple copies of the book available for check out at the front desk.
The movie will start at 6:00 p.m. with discussion to follow. Popcorn will be served. You’re welcome to bring your own drinks along.
A special thank you goes to Anne Switzer, assistant professor of information services and outreach librarian at Kresge Library, for inspiration for this project. Our Library Director attended Lit to Film Club at Oakland University for a number of years.
