    Children K-5 who want or need extra help becoming proficient readers are welcome to this event. Student volunteers (and a therapy dog) will be onsite for children to practice reading to or to be read to. This program is designed to encourage learning and foster a life-long love of reading.

    Children K-5th grade join us! We will have activities every Tuesday for our Summer Reading Program. Each week will have a different theme that is centered around Tails & Tales. There will be activity stations that children will visit. Stations include arts and crafts, STEM activities, building, and games. Currently, all activities are scheduled for outdoors.

    Tails & Tales: Movie and Car Craft

    Fun for the whole family! Come join the library on the library lawn for an outdoor movie. Children can come and build their own car to get their own "drive in" experience. Details are as follows:

    7:30PM: Pre-K children and Kindergarteners can build their own car for the drive-in movie. Children will learn about shapes and colors as they build their car. Children must be RSVP'd. You can RSVP by emailing director@millingtonlibrary.info or call (989) 871-2003.
    8:30pm: All Ages can join the library in watching "How to Train Your Dragon." Spots are first come first served and social distancing will be observed. Funding is provided in part by the Institute of Museum and Library Services through the Library of Michigan.

    Are you looking for a way to help your children continue learning over the summer? Join us this summer in enjoying some reading, writing, math, and science! Any child who will be entering Kindergarten, 1st, 2nd, or 3rd grade in the 21-22 school year is welcome to participate! The event will take place at the Pavilion Between Meachum & Kirk. There are 20 spots available for each time slot on each date. So, pick a date and a time on this survey to reserve your spot! We’ll see you then! Be sure to bring your thinking caps and a blanket to sit on!
