Kids can come and fill out a form to be matched with a pen pal. Letters will be mailed to and from the library, so no personal addresses are needed for the program. When a letter comes into the library, the library will call the responsible adult to let them know that their child can pick up a letter. The last day to sign up is June 25th and the last day to mail a letter is August 6th.

June 12, 2024Join the library for some Lego building fun! We will have the Lego bricks out in the conference room for kids to build. A movie will start at 10:30 and there will be popcorn.

Michigan Notable Books Author VisitMichigan Notable Books Author Visit

June 18, 2024Join us as we welcome R. S. Deeren to the Millington Arbela District Library as part of the Library of Michigan's Notable Authors Tour! Deeren wrote the book Enough to Lose, a collection of short stories about Michiganders in the Thumb. Please join us in listening to his presentation followed by a Q&A. Deeren's book will be available to purchase.

June 25, 2024Children K-5 who want or need extra help becoming proficient readers are welcome to this event. Student volunteers (and a therapy dog) will be onsite for children to practice reading to or to be read to. This program is designed to encourage learning and foster a life-long love of reading.

June 27, 2024Come join us for a story and craft at Asilynot Coffee Company! Children have a storytime special. They can get a donut and hot chocolate (or chocolate milk) for $2, with proceeds going to the library. Adults can enjoy Asilynot’s regular menu.
